I just finished quilting this lovely Heart quilt pieced by the New Hampshire Modern Quilt Guild, it is now ready for binding. This special quilt will be given to a survivor, a victim’s family member, or a first responder following the tragedy at the Pulse nightclub. It is an honor to be able to quilt from love in response to this tragedy.

Quilts Beyond Borders
Today I’m working on this beautiful pink quilt top sent to me from “Quilts Beyond Borders”.
When I received this top for Longarming, I immediately saw butterflies and flowers flowing over the top of the quilt. Quilting this top has been a joy and will share more photos of the finished quilt soon.
More information about the organization “Quilts Beyond Borders” can be found here: Quilts Beyond Borders.
I’m off to quilt more butterflies! :-) ~ Tracy

Behind the Scenes...
A few weeks ago, I traveled to Northern Vermont to save a log from the firewood lot. I purchased a Cherry log that was ~ 6-7 feet long and ~14" diameter.
After a couple of weekends worth of work, I rough turned 18 bowls from that log. All are sealed with Anchorseal green wood sealer and will be stored for 6-12 months for drying - the Anchorseal seals the green wood and slows the drying process to eliminate cracking.
These will be inventory for next year. ~Brian

African Padauk Wood
Two new African Padauk wooden bowls now available in our store. Both having the same dimensions but each with it's own unique look.
The reddish brown color of the Padauk wood is beautiful. When Padauk wood is freshly cut it has a bright orange reddish appearance and then when dried becomes this beautiful reddish brown color. Padauk is of African or Asian Origin and can be found in India, the South Pacific, and West Africa.

Happy Mother's Day!
Brian surprised me with this very special hand turned lidded
box with a hand carved bunny on the lid this morning for Mother’s Day. This special hand carved bunny is holding an
adorable little sign saying “I Love Quilts”. I watch Brian carving animals, Santa's and everything in between many evenings but this little bunny is definitely a
special one.
This bowl is hand turned from Maple Wood and measures 3 ¼
inches x 5 inches in diameter (including lid). The hand carved bunny is 3 inches tall and is
secured to the top of the lidded box.
I have a feeling we will all be seeing more of Brian’s
carvings along with hand turned boxes very soon.
