Quilts Beyond Borders - Butterflies and Flowers

This lovely child's size quilt pieced with love by Marsha and mailed to me for quilting; is now off my frame and ready for mailing. It will soon be delivered back to "Quilts Beyond Borders" in a couple weeks. I have one more quilt to put on the frame that will be sent back with this beautiful pink quilt.

Quilts Beyond Borders

Today I’m working on this beautiful pink quilt top sent to me from “Quilts Beyond Borders”.
When I received this top for Longarming, I immediately saw butterflies and flowers flowing over the top of the quilt. Quilting this top has been a joy and will share more photos of the finished quilt soon.
More information about the organization “Quilts Beyond Borders” can be found here: Quilts Beyond Borders.

I’m off to quilt more butterflies! :-) ~ Tracy

Behind the Scenes...

A few weeks ago, I traveled to Northern Vermont to save a log from the firewood lot.  I purchased a Cherry log that was ~ 6-7 feet long and ~14" diameter.

After a couple of weekends worth of work, I rough turned 18 bowls from that log.  All are sealed with Anchorseal green wood sealer and will be stored for 6-12 months for drying - the Anchorseal seals the green wood and slows the drying process to eliminate cracking.

These will be inventory for next year. ~Brian
